A Continuing Journey

As the month of May comes to a close I just wanted to remind others as well as myself that Water Safety and Mental Health Awareness does not stop here. Water safety and mental health awareness are lifelong journeys. The goal is spread the knowledge and to learn more always. For me these two topics go hand in hand. One of the main reasons why I started Black In Aquatics and the podcast was because swimming has always a positive effect on me and it brings me so such joy, freedom and it’s calming. Just like it has been for so many other people as well. There are so many other benefits, I literally can not list them all lol.

So let’s move forward and continue to do the work. I will continue advocating for water safety in all communities especially my community, the black community and raising awareness about mental health. As well as the correlation between swimming and mental health from the perspective of a swimmer. I’m excited for all the work that is being done and all the work that will be done. I can\’t wait to see what the future holds!

Thanks for checking in! Peace ✌🏽
